Nearly 300 people gathered at the mosque in Mill Valley, CA for an Interfaith Iftar, or Ramadan break-fast, co-sponsored by the The Center For Jewish Peoplehood and the Islamic Center of Mill Valley. We broke into small groups to explore texts from the Torah and the Koran that focused on fasting and discussed similarities and differences between the Jewish High Holy Days and Ramadan. Bonds were formed as we shared a beautiful meal just after sunset.
The J Weekly wrote a feature article on the program and its impact on our local community. Read it here.
