Join pianist Ron Valentino and instructor James Sokol for a beautiful, educational program featuring works by and insights about Chopin, Debussy, Glcuk Mascagni, Mozart, and others.
Ron and James will offer insights into the music to be performed. Then, sit back and enjoy the live performance of theses gorgeous masterworks.

About Ron Valentino
Ron serves as the Music Director for the Opera and Music Theatre Scenes Class in the Pre-Collegiate division of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and prepares translations and runs titles for the San Francisco Symphony. Ron has also served on the music staff of the San Francisco Opera and Opera Center, Los Angeles Opera and the New National Theatre Tokyo.
He has performed with many of today’s best-known classical artists — including Ruth Ann Swenson, Nathan Gunn and Deborah Voigt — as well as the California Symphony and Sacramento Symphony. Additional credits include the American Conservatory Theatre and the record breaking San Francisco production of Phantom of the Opera.
About James Sokol
James Sokol, MA, MBA, worked in opera for over two decades, having started his career under Beverly Sills at NYC Opera. He worked and lectured for San Francisco Opera and is a former executive director of Pocket Opera. A Founding Member of The Singers Development Foundation, James has also worked on projects with Cincinnati Opera and the Opera Company of Philadelphia.
James teaches opera and musical-theater appreciation classes throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and to guests worldwide as part of online programs for an array of organizations. He is the Director of the National JCC Adult & Senior Alliance and the Kurland Center for Adult Learning & Living at the Osher Marin JCC. He leads in-person, cultural arts trips to destinations around the world.
