About The 70 Year Celebration | Osher Marin Jewish Community Center

Dinner. Memories. Community. Ensuring Our Future.

A celebration of 70 years of sustaining Jewish culture, building community, and enriching lives.

On Thursday evening, October 18, 2018, it is our privilege to honor Barbro Osher and Rabbi Brian Lurie for their pivotal roles in the creation of the Osher Marin JCC as we know it today.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Osher Marin JCC’s Fund for the Future.

The 70th anniversary of the Osher Marin JCC brings two opportunities our way. First, to celebrate our being the hub of Jewish life in Marin County since 1948. Second, to ensure that our JCC is here for our community and many future generations to come.

To achieve this goal, we are creating our Fund for the Future. Our goal is to secure $5M that will create financial sustainability for our JCC by simultaneously reducing our current property debt while establishing critical reserve funds.

For 70 years, the Osher Marin JCC has been enriching the Marin community. With over 2,200 people crossing our threshold daily, the Osher Marin JCC is a hub of life in Marin County. As the largest multi-generational community center in Marin, we offer an award-winning fitness center and swimming pools, two pre-school campuses (San Rafael and Tiburon), adult education classes, national and international trips and local excursions, award-winning performing arts programs, cultural activities and festivals, summer day camps and so much more, all in a family-friendly environment.
You don’t have to be Jewish to take part in all the Center has to offer. Our center has over 5,000 members. All are welcome, and we invite the entire community to join us!
