Thu, March 19, 2020 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The semi-autobiographical novel The Lady of the Camellias by Alexandre Dumas fils has lived as play, ballet, even film (think Greta Garbo as Camille), but no version is move beloved than Giuseppe Verdi’s melodious and popular operatic masterpiece La Traviata! Explore the rich characters through libretto (script) and discussion, then hear how Verdi illuminates them through glorious orchestral and vocal lines. Finally, compare sets, costumes, direction and performance interpretations with video clips of different productions and casts. Libretto not required, but is available for order. Registered participants will receive details.
