Give your regards to Broadway with a musical journey to the “city that never sleeps”
Head to Manhattan when the museums are in full swing and Broadway is bustling with the excitement of countless shows. Join in this trip to see seven of Broadway’s hottest shows – Mostly Musicals!
Check into the InterContinental Times Square – a lovely hotel conveniently located in the Theater District – and get ready to enjoy Exclusive Behind-the-Curtain Discussions with Broadway professionals, which provide a fascinating look into life behind the curtain whether with a Broadway actor, singer, director, general manager, or other professional.
Plus – New for 2020! – take a Private Guided Walking Tour focusing on High & Low Entertainment on The Bowery! From being a flashy district of vaudeville, minstrel shows and operettas, to raucous saloons, bare-knuckle boxing, and Skid Row, the still-changing Bowery has seen it all. Rural to the 1800s, the street evolved into a flashy entertainment district for the working class. During the Civil War, the Bowery was a center of New York's theatrical life. Here vaudeville began and minstrel shows became popular. Though the street's fortunes declined, its venues at the turn of the last century were the early training grounds for such greats as Irving Berlin, Eddie Cantor & George M. Cohan.
During Free Time, take in museums, stroll in Central Park, go shopping, visit glorious sites, or join in our special Optional Activities, including a Southern Times Square Walking Tour, a Cultural & Culinary Stroll of Chinatown and No-Host Pre-Show Meals, which are perfect for those wanting to join others for a bite before or after a performance.
Keep your fingers crossed that we can attend a special celebration of the most festive night in the Broadway theater community – a Tony Awards-Viewing Party & Dinner! Alas, the date has not yet been confirmed, but is expected to be Sun, Jun 7, 2020....so attending the party/dinner could actually work out.
