Personal Background
I have been a licensed physical therapist since 2013. I specialize in working with older adults and the geriatric population, including clients with arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, and post-fracture or joint replacement surgeries. I also have experience working with children including those with Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome. Aquatic therapy can be a great way to manage pain, improve strength and balance, increase joint mobility, and improve overall health and fitness.

Why Aquatic Therapy?
I have always loved the water! I was a swimmer from a young age, and eventually transitioned into swim coaching for my recreational summer swim team. I was exposed to the world of Aquatic Therapy during my Physical Therapy training at UCSF. I love how the unique properties of water create an optimal environment to improve strength and range of motion, challenge balance, and improve overall function. The Marin JCC’s warm indoor pool is a relaxing setting to reduce pain and promote recovery!

Personal Background
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Marquette University in 2018. During my education, I consistently studied the effects that aquatic exercise provided for the human body. Shortly after graduating, I obtained additional certifications specializing in Aquatic Therapy. I have experience working with various populations of all ages in a therapeutic pool; including those with arthritis, joint replacements, balance impairments, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and more. I approach Aquatic Therapy with a creative mindset trying to target an individual’s specific needs.

Why Aquatic Therapy?
Growing up as a kid, I participated in my summer club swim team every year and eventually transitioned into competitive swimming as well as diving. I was first introduced to Aquatic Therapy during my undergraduate education when I completed an internship in aquatics at a neurorehabilitation hospital. Witnessing the incredible benefits that Aquatic Therapy can provide for people immediately gained my attention as I developed a strong passion for aquatic exercise. I look forward to working with you in the warm therapeutic pool to improve your overall health and fitness!

Personal Background
I have more than 25 years of experience in working with clients with various injuries due to accidents, overuse, surgery, auto-immune diseases, and/or just the aging process. In the past five years, I have been interested in neuroscience and the way in which our brains have the unique ability to heal our bodies. By integrating various visual, inner ear, and proprioceptive exercises I have been able to help my clients improve and then maintain normal body movement, coordination, function, and balance as they age.

Why Aquatic Therapy?
I train both in the water and on land. Water is a wonderful medium especially for those dealing with excess body weight, pregnancy, and injuries. I also teach hydrotherapy and aquatic fitness classes. I was a competitive swimmer in college, have studied dance, martial arts, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, and Pilates. I am an avid cyclist and backpacker as well. I look forward to working with you in obtaining your personal fitness and health goals!
