Santa Fe: O’Keeffe, Opera & More!
July 21 - 26, 2020
Spend 6-days/5-nights in a desert oasis where the earth climbs to the skies
by way of adobe buildings and the Sangre de Cristo mountains – Santa Fe!
Understand why New Mexico is called “The Land of Enchantment” by experiencing its stunning Landscapes, fascinating History, traditional and innovative Cuisine, diverse collection of Art & Art Galleries, unique Architecture and, of course, the renowned Santa Fe Opera. Two (maybe three?) wonderful performances await! Rossini’s sparking comedy Il Barbiere di Siviglia (“The Barber of Seville”), Dvorak’s lushRusalka, and an option to see Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde. Enrich the opera-going experience with Pre-Show Lectures, a Private Backstage Tour and an Exclusive Production Discussion to learn how Santa Fe Opera creates the magic onstage. In 2019, we had a private meeting with the Assistant Director of Costumes. In 202 0, will we explore sets, …props, …make-up? Come and find out!
Visit interesting sites and gain fascinating insights with a lovely City Tour by Open-Air Tram. Explore an iconic American artist with a day-long Private Guided Discovering O’Keeffe Excursion. With Free Time enjoy countless shops, museums & galleries in the U.S.’ 3rd Largest Art Market.
New in 2020! Our 2020 trip has a special Spanish Theme, appropriate since the region has a rich Spanish history dating back to original settlers: Begin with a No-Host Spanish Dinner followed by, as already mentioned, The Barber of Seville. Get it? Seville, Spain! Take an optional Spanish Tapas Cooking Class & Lunch. Explore the Spanish Market, which takes place one weekend annually – and in 2020 it’s during our trip!
Join in one or more of our Optional Activities, each offering a unique experience:
1) New in 2020! Toast in a Private Home & No-Host Decadent Dinner;
2) Attend a third opera – Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde;
3) Enjoy a No-Host Pre-Barber Dinner (Spanish or Italian); and
4) New in 2020! Delight in a Spanish Tapas Cooking Class culminating in lunch!
Magical Mixture of Art, Architecture, Opera, History, Food & Fun.
