Thu, January 10, 2019 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

THURS JAN 10, 2019 7-9pm

Building on the Jewish value of V’yahavta l’rayaha kamokha (love your neighbor as you would yourself), the Osher Marin JCC invites you to discover the abundance of local talent at Cedars community. This group exhibition explores the diverse experiences within the Marin-based arts community. At the opening reception, meet the featured artists, listen to live music, and learn more about Cedars.

Artwork, gifts and prints by Cedars’ artists will be for sale at the reception.

Cedars has been supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1919. The organization’s success stems from how we work together with the people we serve - as individuals deserving of respect, personal choice, and the chance to develop interests, skills, and independence.

There’s a feeling of family among the approximately 100 people served at Cedars community based residences, including Generoso Pope Jr. campus in Ross and our ten group homes in Novato and San Rafael. Our unique and innovative day programs serve over 190 individuals each weekday.  Off-hours are spent enjoying music, art, sports, nature and, above all, friendship.

Cedars is known for its life affirming, loving environment in which personal accomplishments are celebrated, individual skills are recognized, and participants are able to live creative, productive and joyous lives.
