Giant Holiday Balkan Brass Extravaganza: : INSPECTOR GADJE
Sat, December 1, 2018 7:30 pm
Who says kids get all the fun during the holidays? This year, the Osher Marin JCC is presenting a weekend Hanukkah celebration! On Saturday, dance the night away to the beautiful and bumpin’ brass band music of the Balkans with Inspector Gadje. Bring your appetite; cocktails and noshes will be available for sale. On Sunday, bring the kids to the free, all-ages Festival of Lights extravaganza.
Hearing Inspector Gadje is love at first listen. The Kanbar Center & Center for Jewish Peoplehood at the Osher Marin JCC join forces to bring this special evening of BIG Brass, BIG Music, BIG Party BIG fun, cocktails, food and dancing to the JCC. This program is a party in a box, unique, talented, fun and well …. a little loud.
The driving, right groove of low brass and drums with soaring melodies from trumpets, saxophones, and clarinet incite joy from the very first downbeat. Inspector Gadje ignites the dance floor and makes the party wherever they play (including MGM Arena, Fox Theater, Palace of Fine Arts, The Independent, Ashkenaz, Café du Nord, The New Parish, Rickshaw Shop and Yoshi’s to name a few).
We invite you to join us for this unique night of music from the Balkans with Inspector Gadje, a not so quite secret that is about to bust out of the SF dance scene. There will be room for dancing AND a belling dancing performance, so get ready to party!
