January Slowdown: A Half Day Meditation Retreat

The holidays can bring great joy but can also raise mixed emotions or hard feelings. Winter is also a time when we are often indoors, to make use of this time and get us back on track, experienced meditation teachers Diane and Larry Yermack are back to offer us a half day mini retreat at the JCC. They will guide us through cultivating three different qualities (known in the Jewish tradition as middot) which will bring us into 2023 with more calmness, compassion and joy. Learn how meditation can help us slow down and experience life in the present moment in the context of thousands of years of Jewish wisdom.

Larry and Diane Yermack lead a weekly meditation group at Congregation Kol Shofar and have years of experience as meditation teachers. They taught a Summer Slowdown, three week series at the JCC. No prior meditation experience required.

Please pack a lunch and prepare to immerse yourself in a half day of meditation techniques and learning. Please note this retreat will be mostly silent with fewer opportunities to reflect and discuss. Space is incredibly limited for this workshop!
