Shabbat Lunches Schedule

Welcome to the Kurland Center for Lifelong Learning!

Our new Kurland Center for Lifelong Learning features a stunning atrium off of the main lobby which connects the adult lounge with the gallery. This beautiful new space hosts larger community events and runs multiple programs concurrently.

The JCC's popular Friday Shabbat Luncheon & Lecture spans a broad spectrum of topics from the lively arts to lifestyles to politics. Enjoy a delicious lunch (or bring your own) and let our varied parade of speakers and performers entertain and inform you.

Lunch at noon - Program at 12:40-2 p.m.
$8 JCC members/$10 public (lunch included)
Program only at 12:40 - $4.00
Reservations required by 9:30 a.m. on Friday: 415-444-8000.

Limited door-to-door transportation available. Call (415) 444-8061 for availability. Adult and Senior programs are funded in part by the Jewish Community Endowment Newhouse Fund of the Jewish Community Federation and the Sylvia and Simon Dietz Memorial Fund.

July 11: Shabbat Songs with Fredi Bloom
Fredi will entertain and inspire us with songs celebrating Shabbat.

July 18: Lucina Sings hits from WWII days
Go on a sentimental journey with the fabulous Lucina, accompanied by saxophone and piano.

July 25: Blues and Boogie-woogie Piano
Enjoy Wendy DeWitt’s fantastic American roots piano.

Aug. 1: Make ’em laugh Part 1: Great Comic Songs from the Stage and Screen
Bonnie Weiss, musical theatre historian extraordinaire, will present funny and fabulous scenes from stage and screen.

Aug. 8: Make ’em laugh Part 2: Great Comic Songs from the Stage and Screen
The journey continues with Bonnie Weiss showing hilarious musical clips for your viewing pleasure.

Aug 15: Make ’em laugh Part 3: Great Comic Songs from the Stage and Screen
Enjoy the third part of this funny trip down memory lane, with musical theatre and film historian Bonnie Weiss.

No Shabbat Luncheons: July 4, August 22 or 29. Shabbat Lunch resumes on Septmeber 5.
