Center for Jewish Peoplehood (CJP)
Position Summary: The CJP Program Coordinator is a part-time position responsible for providing administrative and program support for the development, implementation, and evaluation of successful and effective programming in the category of Jewish arts, culture, and learning. CJP’s busy season is September through April, and the position requires extensive weeknight and some weekend availability.
The Osher Marin JCC’s Center for Jewish Peoplehood (CJP) presents fun and enriching Jewish programming for people of all ages, beliefs and interests. Our programs examine the world through a Jewish lens. CJP conducts and produces between thirty and forty programs each year, primarily on weeknights with twelve to eighteen occurring on weekends, primarily Sundays. This position is supervised by the Director of the Center for Jewish Peoplehood.
- Represent CJP at all programs
- Work closely with JCC departments to confirm program calendar, reserve space, and coordinate room set up and technical needs
- Coordinate with outside vendors to order food and supplies for programs
- Coordinate volunteer activity for program events
- Collaborate with CJP Program Director to create social media content with the goal of increasing program attendance and online engagement
- Other responsibilities as designated by CJP Director

The Assistant Controller role is a newly created, full-time, exempt position with the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center’s Finance Department. Working under minimal supervision, we are looking for a dynamic new team member whose primary responsibilities will include assisting the in-house Program Managers in their monthly financial reviews, periodic forecasting and analysis, and the annual budget process. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will prepare journal entries and reconciles ledger accounts and ensure compliance w/ GAAP and organization policy’s procedures and contracts Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
- Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances and cash flow
- Assist and help manage the preparation of the company’s annual budget process
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Manage preparation of the annual financial statements and the audit, and coordinate with the auditor regarding the preparation of form 990, and other state and federal statutory filings
- Work with the Accounting Manager to support the monthly close process
- Supervise the accounts receivable process and monthly reporting as needed
- Work with the Finance Director to develop and implement new policies and procedures where needed

Weekend Housekeeper for Men’s Locker Rooms

Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts
Kanbar Production Support
The Production Substitute is an hourly Technician position within the Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts division of the Osher Marin JCC. This position works closely with the Production Supervisor and Private Event and Operations Manager and is supervised Kanbar Director. Core responsibilities include support for the Production Supervisor, implementing lighting, sound as needed, and acting as lead person as needed for Kanbar Center performances, private events and JCC programs. All Kanbar Staff represent the JCC during events and must keep a clean and professional appearance.
Responsibilities will be to substitute and Support the Production Supervisor to run sound, lights, audio/visual as needed, set and break down events and may include but not be limited to the following:
- Operates audio visual equipment including but not limited to P.A., audio mixer, microphones, projection, video playback and monitoring remote signal flow for cameras and audio gear.
- Represent the Center during public program& special events- Customer service and front line demeanor is a responsibility of the Audio Visual Technician. --Possesses the ability to assist clients with troubleshooting presentation software, such as Powerpoint, Keynote and Quicktime.
- Moves, sets up, takes down, and adjusts a broad range of equipment including microphones laptop computers and other devices for programs as well as tables, chairs for events.
- Oversee/direct rehearsals and sound check.
- Verifies that equipment is in good working order prior to each event; making spot repairs as needed, pulling faulty gear for inspection and repair.
- Oversee/ set-ups and event staff if needed.
- Act as Stage Manager when necessary.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with all Staff, Artists and Management. Carry a radio while on duty.
- Act as production point-of-contact person.
- One (1) year of related work experience performing audiovisual services, preferably in a museum or institution of higher learning; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Working knowledge of: range of microphones; portable sound systems; video projection; flat screen displays; computer-based presentation programs, such as PowerPoint and Keynote; lighting equipment; staging equipment; safety procedures with regard to handling and storage of audiovisual equipment and electrical loads.
- Must be familiar with a variety of mic techniques, especially for drums, live vocals, piano, and percussion.
- Must be able to troubleshoot quickly under pressure.
- Must be humble enough to make coffee, sweep and mop the stage, or just help out with a simple task if assistance is needed. In our organization everyone pitches in to put on the best event we can with whatever we have available.

The JCC Preschool Teacher reports to the ECE Director or Preschool Site Director. The person in this position works directly with the children and their families enrolled in the Early Childhood programs.

Cafe Counter Person
The JCC is seeking friendly, outgoing, mature and dependable Counter Staff for our Center Cafe!
The Café Counter Person is a part-time (up to 18 hours/week) position at the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center (JCC). The Counter Person is responsible for waiting on customers, making espresso drinks, completing cash register transactions and simple food preparation. This person reports to the Café Manager and is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Café and restocking items, as necessary.
- Greet and serve all JCC members and guests in a cheerful and courteous manner.
- Assemble food orders with any additional needed preparation not done in the kitchen.
- Ring up sales; make change; and balance the drawer.
- Clear and clean tables as needed; restock food and supplies.
- Perform duties related to opening or closing of Café.
- Maintain general cleanliness of Café and food service areas and attractive display of foods and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned by the Café Manager.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs of weight.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Food Handler Card through the County of Marin.

This is a part-time position- up to 18 hours a week. We have found that this position works best for an individual who is seeking only a permanent part-time position.
We run a small café within Osher Marin JCC. We serve Peet’s coffee and we can get quite busy at times! Do you have barista experience? It’s ok if you do not. We can teach you!
In our little café we are like a family and we do most everything that has to do with the café ourselves- meaning, we wash dishes, stock product, prep, cashiering and most importantly, serve our customers with a smile and a great attitude!
We are a counter café and do not wait tables. Customers come up to the counter and ask us to get and ring up what they would like.
The shifts are mostly 4-6 hour shifts and be anywhere from 6:30 am to closing at 6:00pm Monday thru Fridays. We are open on the weekends and those shifts are anywhere from 8:30am to 4:oo pm.
Although we can (and do!) work around your schedule, we do require availability on the weekends.

Our vibrant Health and Fitness (H & F) center is looking to add a new Customer Service Representative to the team. This position provides a wide range of customer-focused services including meeting and greeting members and guests. Appointment scheduling and retail sales for additional products and services offered by the Center. This is a 32 hour per week, benefitted position reporting to the H & F Operations Manager. This person will have closing responsibility.

We are looking for a long term relationship with experienced massage therapists.
Are you a massage therapist who has excellent technical skills, communicates well with clients, is punctual, seeks continuing education opportunities and emphasizes customer service? Are you California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) certified? Do you have 500 or more hours of massage training or 5 years experience and professional liability insurance? Are you a self-starter who can promote your art and support the massage department?

- Experience in the care of infants and preschool preferable but not necessary.
- The physical ability to participate in children’s activities is required.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds is required.
- Available to work weekends
- American Red Cross Certification in Infant/Child CPR is required.
