Americana Roots music from our favorite song leader & his band.

Kanbar KidsJosh McIntosh
About Josh McIntosh Joshua “Tree” McIntosh was named after the magical place where his parents played in the desert as teenagers. The southwest influences are evident in his voice and songwriting, with the mountains and rugged coast line of Northern California where he has lived all his life, also making their mark.
Last summer at the JCC, Josh wowed hundreds of campers and their families, as he led them in song each Friday afternoon. Come see for yourself, what the buzz was all about!

“Josh combines the best of Americana/Roots music with a very rock-n-roll backbone. His songs will move you musically and lyrically, while consistently rooting you to his soulful version of the heartland. This is an outstanding group of songs.” - Jeff Pehrson, Further, Box Set, The Fall Risk
About The Music
Americana is a mix of American folk music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the musical ethos of the United States - specifically those sounds that are merged from folk, country, blues, rhythm and blues, rock and roll and other external influences. Americana, as defined by the Americana Music Association (AMA), is "contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots-rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots-oriented sound that lives in a world apart from the pure forms of the genres upon which it may draw.”
