Jewels of Paris

“April in Paris” may be lovely,
but May is even better!"

Join in this 10-day/9-night journey filled with art, architecture, history, performances, meals and more!

Experience the “City of Lights” like never before! This trip, lead by popular Bay Area instructor, James Sokol (who lived in France and spent much time in Paris) will share with you some of his favorite neighborhoods, museums, sites, restaurants & activities – an exciting mix of popular treasures and lesser-known gems, some of which many tourists have never heard, let alone visited.

Experience the city like a Parisian – take the metro, shop the open-air market, have a nightcap in a café after a performance, have dinner in a private home.

Experience the city with the experts! From licensed guides leading our private neighborhood walking tours and museum visits, learn from knowledgeable professionals each steeped in their own specialties.

Experience up to six magical evenings in five different venues! Three performances are included in the trip: A beautiful Baroque Concert at the jewel-box Théâtre Grévin (a venue rarely visited by tourists!), a Classical Concert featuring masterpieces for strings, under the spectacular stained-glass of Saint Chapelle, and an evening of Dance to Ravel at the stunning Palais Garnier (the “old opera house”).

Three optional performances include soprano Natalie Dessay singing a Melodie & Lieder Recital and a Concert of Opera Arias & Duets featuring tenor Juan Diego Florez and soprano Aida Garifullina – both at the renowned Théâtre des Champs-Elysées – and Tchaikovsky’s gorgeous Eugene Onegin, starring soprano Anna Netrebko and baritone Peter Mattei at the Opera Bastille.

Our time together offers several other highlights including an Excursion Outside Paris, sumptuous meals and more! Join us for the fun!
