Latin Dance Party Featuring: Los Pinguos
The Kanbar Center brings the multicultural flavors, movement, live music and fun of Summer Nights Indoors. Tonight Los Pinguos returns with their own blend of vivacious and infectious music. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and inspired by their love for the Beatles, they bring a wonderful warm and upbeat signature sound of their own with Spanish guitars and harmonizing vocals. The result is exciting, passionate, joyful music that inspires the audience to get up and dance and leave their worries behind. The Winter Nights Series brings the friends, fun and sunshine indoors in the midst of winter, and begs all to get out on the dance floor and shake off those winter blues!
Dinners
Marin Country Mart’s El Huarache Loco will be offering dinners available for purchase from 7pm -9pm to enjoy in our lobby/atrium area or in the theater. From DF to the SF from the Distrito of Mexico city to San Francisco, From the MC to the MCF from the Distrito of Mexico City to Marin County Mart, Chef Salazar brings the colors and flavors of Mexico City to the Bay Area.
About Los Pinguos The story began in 1999 when Adrián Buono & José Agote along with some other Argentine musicians formed a band to play in clubs, bars, and private parties throughout Buenos Aires. Their exciting, passionate live shows garnered a devoted fan base, inspiring the talented ensemble to pursue global attention. So they packed their bags and headed north to the Californian shores. Newly arrived to the City of Angels in early 2001, Los Pinguos began playing at local bars such as The Latin Lounge, The Knitting Factory, Key Club, and Temple Bar & Little Temple. As their popularity grew, they were invited to perform at the end-of-season party for the hit FOX show “Dharma & Greg”. Since then their rise has included appearances in TV shows, their music heard in feature films, documentaries, and recordings on three of the famous Putumayo World Music compilations, “Baila!”, “Radio Latino” and most recently, “World Party”.
