The most recognized name in Hawaiian music, HAPA, returns to the Summer Nights Festival bringing their always popular sounds of hypnotic, liquid guitar runs woven around clear, tenor Hawaiian vocals and immaculate harmonies driven by poetic lyrics exulting in the rapture of paradise:  Hawaii.

This trio’s overriding musical quality is one of passion, beauty and serenity.  And is found in the majestic tones of the oli (chant), mele (song), and the innovative sounds of virtuoso guitar performances. If Maui were music, it would sound like HAPA. Rolling Stone Japan recently described them as “Titans of the Genre”

Enjoy an evening with Hawaii’s hottest group!

Barry Flanagan:  vocals, guitars, multi instruments
Kapono Naiiliili:  vocals, cello, multi instruments
Tarvin Makia:  vocals, bass
