About the Artists:
Tom Shale of the Washington Post said, "Picture the precocious love child of Jonathan Winters and Ethel Merman and you have some idea of Kevin Meaney's act, he's one of the best."
From his early years doing standup comedy in San Francisco and Boston he's amassed an impressive list of credits along the way. His first HBO special in 1986 catapulted him to the forefront of the comedy scene. TV credits include: The Tonight Show , Saturday Night Live , The Late Show with David Letterman, Regis, Oprah and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Kevin also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and has had guest roles on NBC's 30 Rock and Two Broke Girls.
Known for drawing upon his family relationships for much of his material, Kevin has made such lines as "That's not Right" and "We're Big Pants People" and "We're going to lose the house" (delivered in the tremulous voice of his mother) catch phrases for hilarity. An evening with Kevin is a trip to the funhouse and one laugh escalates into a bigger one and good-hearted humor prevails. Kevin headlines clubs thru-out the nation.
Kevin is also a successful writer and producer. He wrote and produced and starred in a one-man autobiographical play titled Wedding Vows in Vegas which premiered at the prestigious U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado before going on to a successful summer run in Boston at the Hasty Pudding Theatre. Steve Martin called it, "The most innovative, heart-rending and funny show I've seen in a long, long time."
Kevin is currently living in New York with his daughter. It's a rare Bay Area appearance by Kevin and we are honored to present him.
Whether taking on relationships, his Italian-American family, or current events, Joe's dead-on timing, unexpected twists and sheer flights of lunacy make him a favorite headliner at top clubs and colleges across the USA, and at the top venues in New York City.
After spending a decade as a journalist and advertising writer, Joe gave into his coworker's demands to try performing so he could find fame, while they finally got some work done. In 2006, he was invited to the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Canada, where the Montreal Gazette rated his performance "9.5 out of 10."
Joe's TV appearances include performances on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson", "Comics Unleashed" , Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham," and a semi-finalist turn on season five of NBC's "Last Comic Standing," . His savage wit has also made him an in-demand panelist on shows like "Chelsea Lately," CNN's "Headline News" Animal Planet's "Wild 100," a regular guest on FOX News Channel's "Red Eye" as well as hosting, "The Independents" and "Kennedy" on Fox Busincess and truTV's "The Smoking Gun Presents..." As a writer, Joe has contributed to Maxim Magazine, MTV, and the award-winning film "Super Size Me."
Joe's first CD "First Date with Joe DeVito" was released January 13, 2015 to rave reviews.
