"The acoustic fivesome’s sound is a
traditional sounding display of virtuoso
pickin’ and sweet harmonizin’ all over
the grass, folk and jazz maps."
  — Salt Lake City Weekly, Music Picks

"Steeped in traditional bluegrass, the band resonates as much with the folkies as those equipped with dancing feet."

Hot Buttered Rum enthusiastically returns to the Summer Nights concert stage, bringing their onstage chemistry that fuels the lovefest that is a live HBR show.  Delivering three-part harmonies with a five-piece newgrass jam band, Hot Buttered Rum spins tales about the good times, the bad times and the roads in between.

Whenever these five guys step out of their Bay Area homes onto a stage, their aim is to weave together the traditions of folk and bluegrass with the modern influences of rock, reggae, and acoustic singers and songwriters.  Call it bluegrass fusion, newgrass or a post-modern string band, Hot Buttered Rum is one of the hardest-working and fastest-rising stars in the music world. A festival favorite, Hot Buttered Rum is a regular Telluride, South by Southwest, Bonnaroo and Grey Fox, and has performed with such luminaries as Phil Lesh, Ben Harper, Chris Thile, Béla Fleck and Peter Rowan.

Aaron Redner: fiddle, acoustic and electric mandolins & vocals.

Bryan Horne: double bass & vocals.

Erik Yates: banjos, guitars, woodwinds & vocals.

Lucas Carlton: drums & percussion.

Nat Keefe: guitar & vocals.

Pre-Concert Yoga: Linda Prosché  is a staff yoga instructor at the Osher Marin JCC’s Koret Center for Health & Fitness. Tonight, Linda and her students will get you into your body and into the summer nights festive spirit with yoga stretches and movement. Whether you are in a chair, on the ground or standing.....this Viniyoga style is for you!
