Kimilee Bryant performed the role of Christine Daae in Webber’s Phantom of the Opera: Broadway, Switzerland, Toronto, US tour. Also as "Carlotta" and "Madame Giry", the only singer to play all three roles. NYC credits include Broadway’s The Pirate Queen; Josephine/H.M.S. Pinafore, Mabel/Pirates of Penzance, Casilda/Gondoliers; NY City Center; Elsie/Yeomen of the Guard, Phyllis/Iolanthe, Angelina/Trial by Jury, Aline/The Sorcerer: Symphony Space; soloist/National Chorale/Avery Fisher Hall; and soloist in a staged production of Handel’s Messiah/Lincoln Center, also performed in Utrecht, Holland. Regional Metropolitan Opera Auditions winner; regularly performs concerts worldwide. Solo CD "My Favorite Things"
Equally at home with opera and theatre, Ms. Bryant's regional roles include: Maria/West Side Story, Marian/The Music Man, Hope/Anything Goes and Eliza/My Fair Lady. Among her operatic roles performed are Susannah/Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina/ Don Giovanni, Bianca/The Taming of the Shrew, and Polly/The Beggar’s Opera. She’s bowed with Opera Ontario, Boheme Opera (NJ), Opera East Texas, Aspen Opera, Piedmont Opera (NC), Sacramento Music Circus, and The New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players.
James Sokol teaches opera appreciation courses throughout the Bay Area at venues including the JCCs of San Francisco, Marin, Peninsula, Walnut Creek and at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Dominican University, College of Marin and Santa Rosa Junior College. Sokol is the Director of the Kurland Center for Adult Learning & Living at the Osher Marin JCC. In addition to creating programs, lectures, and excursions for adults and seniors, Sokol creates and leads general Cultural Arts Trips to New York City, Chicago, Santa Fe, Sarasota, Paris, Spain and Cuba. Since its launch, Sokol’s trip Broadway’s Magical Musicals, which takes guests to New York City for shows, meetings with actors, backstage tours and more, has sold-out. He is planning another Broadway Trip for Fall 2013.
