Our Renovation is Done!
Koret Center for Health and
Fitness
Our newly renovated Koret Center for Health and Fitness
is three times larger than our former existing facility with state-of-the-art
equipment and refurbished locker rooms on both floors. Features of the
new space include:
- All-new fitness equipment, both Keiser, strength (free weights),
and other types of machines.
- Refurbished locker rooms
- 2nd floor adult locker room will have large, premium lockers
- Stunning reception area with glass tile wallExpanded circuit room
- All-new dedicated spin studio overlooking gym
- Additional large exercise studio
- Additional private rooms available for PT training/testing.
- A small lounge area for members to hang out.
- More private and family changing areas
- One full basketball court that is within the range of a high school
regulation court.
Refurbished Indoor Pool
The newly resurfaced and retiled pool now has steps across
the shallow end to better accommodate recreation and therapeutic programs
with two sets of entry bars. Other improvements include the installation
of new pedi-mats to capture excess water resulting in drier locker rooms,
a resurfaced anti-slip pool deck, freshly painted walls, newly tiled
indoor rinse showers, new solar shades and new teak benches.
New Family Changing Zone!
Our former massage room (adjacent to the indoor pool) has been
converted into a new Kids Changing Zone to make things easier
for parents with small children. This new room has benches, lockers,
and cubbies to give parents a quick place to change kids before or after
using the pools. It's one more way we are striving to make our Center
more family-friendly!
Toole Center for Youth and Family
Our new Center for Youth and Family includes a new space for childcare
(Kidcare), a new art studio and kiln, camp office, and teen lounge.
Kurland Center for Lifelong Learning
A stunning atrium has been built off the main lobby, connecting the
current adult lounge with the gallery. This new space will now
allow us the flexibility of planning larger community events or running
multiple programs concurrently.
The Swig Field Renovation
The Swig Field renovation is COMPLETE. It has been transformed
into a lovely, landscaped sport field with lots of nice ammenities such
as a new climbing wall, a new nature trail, a small ampitheater set
in the hillside, additional playground equipment, a sport field with
artificial turf and lots of new plants and landscaping. It is beautiful
and it is brought to you by our friends at Brandeis Hillel Day School.
